Agree....its a great watch.

Seiko uses a very similar technology to Casio and Citizen. I've owned solar watches from all three companies, including G-Shocks and Oceanus watches. I've never had any problems with charging any of them. They all work perfectly.

You're right, of course.....there are significant differences from the original to this one. I've owned both versions. But that's the nature of progress I guess. I do like this one better slightly due to the fact its easier to live with in every way.

I need a couple of watches in this price range. Also, is it a heavy watch? It looks pretty heavy duty but looks can be deceiving. I like a nice heavy watch now and again

Bought it from Exquisite Timepieces in Naples, FL It has good weight to it, being all steel. I think you need one of these in your life sir.

Keep checking their site. They will get more. I'd call the store, talk to Tyler. Tell him I sent you to him, you're interested in this watch and ask him to contact you when one shows up......or pre-order one from him and he can ship it to you when he gets one. Tyler is excellent to work with.

I'm good. Stuck for the most part, but good. Had nowhere to go anyway.

Its making landfall now in the Big Bend of Florida as a minimal Cat 1 storm. Still can and will create havoc. Its all feeder bands down here now. Still going to be a not fun day.

I don't know honestly. On some watches you have to bridge the positive pole of the battery to a spot on the movement to ground out the watch to get it to kick over. But I didn't replace a battery on this watch. I would suggest posting the question to the Breitling forum of WATCHUSEEK.COM and/or to one of the Breitling groups on Facebook. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help than that. Good luck.

I can see that. I like date complications, but I have many no-date watches. I agree it would have made for a slightly cleaner dial.

Should be able to find a local place. I'd also recommend joining some of the Breitling groups on Facebook and asking if folks there can recommend a place to get it worked on. Might have to ship it off, but at least it will get fixed. Good luck sir.

Well, I know right now.....today.....a place I've worked with for years, European Watch Company, has an X33 Maristimer for sale right now. And everything they sell is 100% authentic. As for this watch, it was aluxtrader, but I don't think they have any more of these.

Apparently, to commemorate what would have been his 93rd birthday, Doxa is making 93 of this limited edition release. Considering you’re a fan and got the previous Clive Cussler Doxa, I thought you might be interested. Of course, I would like you to get it so I can see you review it 😉😁. Personally, I think I like this new version with the distressed black dial rather than the other one with the parchment tan dial.
